A.J. de Bartolomeo presented at the Harris Martin Women’s Health Litigation Conference in Beverly Hills, California on June 22, 2016. She joined a panel of highly-regarded plaintiff’s attorneys in a discussion entitled “Plastic in the Pelvis: Essure and Mesh Litigation.” A.J. focused on the current status of the Essure litigation, specifically providing information on the Essure birth control product, description of the injuries suffered, and a litigation status update. Other topics included an array of important women’s issues such as wage inequality and the Equal Pay Act, ongoing birth control injuries and litigation, and a discussion of how pharmaceutical companies target women to sell drugs, devices, and “diseases.”

A.J. de Bartolomeo’s Experience Representing Women in Healthcare Litigation and Mass Torts

With more than twenty years of experience in large-scale mass tort and class action lawsuits, Ms. de Bartolomeo represents individuals who have been injured by consumer fraud and defective drugs or devices. She has been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in several MDL mass tort actions, including Yaz/Yasmin birth control litigation, and pelvic mesh lawsuits. She frequently speaks before industry organizations on developments in consumer class actions, mass tort litigation, and the settlement approval process.
