Valerie H. Li is an associate at Girard Gibbs LLP. She represents corporate and individual plaintiffs in antitrust, securities, and consumer protection class action litigation and arbitration.
Valerie previously served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Sheri Bluebond of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California, and interned at the State of California’s Department of Business Oversight and Service Employees International Union Local 721 (Southern California Public Service Workers).
Valerie graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she served as an editor for the national publication for administrative law judges, Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary, and was a member of the moot court board. She researched and revised academic and legal publications on international commercial arbitration and mediation as a research assistant to Professor Thomas J. Stipanowich of the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
She currently acts as a co-chair of the Civil Rights Committee for the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. She is also active in the Federal Bar Association and the Asia Society.
Prior to receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh, Valerie was educated in Taiwan. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Taiwanese.
