David P. Willard is a litigation assistant with Girard Gibbs specializing in complex financial analysis. He received his undergraduate degree in East Asian Studies, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Princeton University in 2006. At Princeton, Mr. Willard was the recipient of the Honorable George P. and O’Bie Shultz Award for distinction in public policy Senior Thesis research. He also lettered in Varsity Lacrosse at Princeton and was awarded NCAA Division I Academic All-American Honors as the team’s starting defensive midfielder. While in college, he also pursued advanced Mandarin Chinese studies at Tsinghua University and Beijing Normal University in Beijing, China. Before joining Girard Gibbs, Mr. Willard worked as a financial analyst in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs International in London and as an investment analyst with Pantera Capital Management LP, a global macro hedge fund in San Francisco.
